Re: Barroness Lady Margaret Thatcher/ Style & Jewels
I couldn't agree more.
Very nice pictures MarcA. Whatever were people's thoughts on this lady, she just could not be ignored. I think she may be the best person to be dealing with the whole Brexit debacle and Europe issue if she were still around.
I can only think with the jewels that went to auction a lot of very wealth Americans acquired them. She was greatly revered in the US for all of tenure and well afterwards.
Though I will add whilst it was greatly assumed she was reviled in the UK most people think of her as one of or greatest ever prime ministers. The crowds at her funeral being a testament to that.
She had some pieces that I don't think I had ever seen her wear. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=margaret+thatcher+jewels&rlz=1C5CHFA_enAU736AU737&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj89-LtuqncAhWLQd4KHfhPA-oQsAR6BAgGEAE&biw=1319&bih=755#imgrc=y-31b3tQ2ByczM:
Hi all, one lady who carried herself with immaculate style and class was the late BPM Baroness Thatcher. What stood out about her was that enormous cabochon sapphire ring she wore. Here is a video on the sale of some of the pieces. Does anyone have anymore information on the sale and more importantly what ever became of the outstanding ring I mentioned above, did it stay with her family?
