Faberge research by Erik Schoonhoven - Beth July 9, 2018, 6:21 am) which paints a picture of the Prince Consort of Queen Juliana implicating him in selling off court/royal pieces. But then again one never truly knows in circumstances such as these.
I believe she had quite a reputation for how she acquired some pieces. Often shaming the wives of ministers and business men to hand over their jewels etc by saying how much her charities could benefit from such a gift.
Eva though generally remained bedecked as that's what she said the Argentine people wanted.
I'm wondering why exactly the Dutch royal family gave her a tiara.
