I noticed this item in a sales result which states that a diamond of 30.58 carats thought to have belonged to Cardinal Mazarin was sold to Mr Jack Arpels.
Does any one know if there is anything to this claim? That is whether it was one of the Mazarin diamonds. I have not seen one with that weight, but perhaps there is evidence that one of them was re-cut at some stage. Financial Times
