Ashdean mentioned that Victoria had bought a tiara from Cartier in 1902.
I also seem to remember that the subject of Princess Victoria's tiara was mentioned in a thread about the coronation of King Haakon VII.
Today I was browsing through the Royal Collection online and I came across a drawing of the State Banquet held for the King of Italy during his visit to the United Kingdom. In this Princess Victoria is pictured wearing a high (diamond? who knows) tiara:

Could this be the Cartier tiara?
Judging from a drawing is difficult, but are we able to recognise any of the other tiaras worn to the State Banquet?
