Thanks for that information Beth. I wonder where might be the Wheat of Ears tiara today and in whose family or museum collection? I would hate to think that same was dismantled and the stones resold.

Here are some newspaper cuttings about what was sold in London in 1927. What was sold privately or broken up and the gemstones sold separately is difficult to identify especially where the private jewels were concerned. Most of the official Crown Jewels seem to be in the Diamond Fund on public display today.

The snuff box is today in the Royal Collection, having been purchased by Queen Mary in 1932.

I have a report that the ears of wheat tiara was likely to be worn at a Court, but later there was nothing about it, and apparently it has disappeared from public view. What is displayed today in the Diamond Fund is a re-creation.
