I mentioned that, at the meeting of Commonwealth leaders in April 1949 QEQM wore a brooch with a large sapphire which is not the Russian sapphire brooch, and posted some rather blurry images.

I have found that Getty has a short video of this meeting. The brooch certainly glitters, and I am convinced that it is the brooch which QEQM gave to Princess Diana.
