Thanks for all your responses guys. I do believe that the jewels on display are from a mixture of contributors such as Queen Sophia, some I believe may have come from wedding gifts received by Queen Sophia and some from Infanta Elena's in-laws. Isn't her marriage tiara from her husband's family as it carries her husband's sir name. So I would believe being a daughter of a sovereign ruler, one would have received plenty jewel gifts from the distinguished guest who would just happen to be members of the aristocracy and most members who count as relatives from the other European countries. It's a real departure from royal tradition as in past years royalty show cased their wedding gifts but now a days everything is kept secret for fear of offending or raising the ire of others. I mean we just had two British royal weddings and the one before these two and no mention of wedding gifts. We only hear that the couple has asked that instead of gifts, guest are asked to make donations to certain charities but what of the more immediate guest such as extended family and close friends? So maybe Queen Sophia made a big haul of jewels on her marriage and then her mother was Queen Frederica of Greece who by all standards was next to QM in the jewel stakes. And then we cant forget the Countess of Barcelona the mother in law of Queen Sophia 'Mercedes' no one actually knows what jewels she passed down. Is the below link a tiara formally in the collection of Countess Mercedes, does anyone know?

Thank you Dave for so many interesting photos.
What an incredible collection of jewels Infanta Elena has worn !!
Do you think that these jewels are currently owned by the spanish royal family ?
I do know that Queen Sophia has a lot of jewels in the vault which are not worn...maybe one of the most impressive collection of jewels.
Franck
I am hoping that someone has information about these jewels, as I would be most interested to learn more.
