I wonder if you could help with something. I read or saw something saying that when QAM & KC were removed in what’s maybe described as nothing better than a putsch they had to leave Greece immediately literally in the clothes they were standing in.
If true do you know how they got reunited the jewels? Was it because they were considered personal as opposed to Crown pieces? Previous Message
I wrote an article on Princess Michael of Greece’s Van Cleef and Arpels Parure, HERE , to mark Prince Michael's 80th Birthday, and I was wondering if there was any confirmation on how or where she acquired the Parure (or her Wedding Tiara ) or what stone is featured??
Also, I'd like a chance to discuss the jewels of Prince Michael's mother, Princess Françoise of Orléans, and what eventually became of them, like Queen Olga's Turquoise Parure, a replica of Romanov jewels, inherited by Prince Christopher "who got a semi-precious stone parure being a younger son" (in the words of Prince Michael) !
that also makes me wonder about the jewels inherited by Queen Olga's other children: King George II had gotten the Emeralds earlier, Prince Nicholas got the Ruby Parure , Prince George got the Pearl Stomacher , I wonder what Princess Maria or Prince Andrew got??
