I think you are correct Thomas. The ruby version was exhibited in Canberra at the Cartier Exhibition last year. To my eye the jewel looked even more heavy and cumbersome in the flesh, in stark contrast to other ruby jewels displayed. I think I have seen a sapphire version in an auction catalogue in recent years.
