When you compare to not only some of the gifts QA received or those QV gave out as wedding gifts to her daughters and grand-daughters it's still quite a small piece however I imagine she asked Bertie first.

Perhaps it past on to one of her daughters and thence by descent.

I have often wondered if Queen Alexandra was photographed wearing the brooch Queen Victoria gave to Alexandra for her silver wedding anniversary.

According to the press it was made of silver and diamonds.

Has anyone ever spotted it in photos of Queen Alexandra?
