However as Dave recently posted pictures of Queen Amelie of Portugal's emerald tiara we can see that mirrored parures are also seen outside of Japan.
Below I post a few example of mirrored parures worn by Royal ladies over the years. Please feel free to add to the list if I have missed out any.
Queen Wilhemina's Sapphire Parure: I believe this has been dismantled now.
Dutch Ruby Peacock Parure: I would classify this as a mirrored parure as well as the design elements are almost the same with a few variations (just as in Japanese parures)
Sometimes ladies intentionally or unintentionally create a mirrored parure:
Queen Sonja's modern gold parure also has the mirrored look:
The Malaysian royal house of Johor has a mirrored emerald parure:
Queen Sofia wears her rubies as a mirrored set:
The Queen Mother tried the mirrored look with Queen Mary's fringe tiara and Queen Adelaide's fringe as a necklace.
Even Queen Elizabeth II has tried the mirrored look (rather successfully in my opinion)
I hope you all enjoy this and can add a few more to the list above.
