Prbably because there where (and still are)not much heirloom Jewels in the belgian RF. Most of them where the personal property of Queen Elisabeth and the late Queen Astrid. They only who comes to mind is the art dec bandeau which was given to Queen Astrid by her parents-in-law.

I understand why Princess Lilian got the use of the jewellery that were heirlooms within the Belgian Royal family but I'll never get how King Leopold could give her the use of Queen Astrid's personal jewels

The King of Sweden gave her a small diamond Rivière She wore at her 2 Weddings Events.
She wore it once with the big emerald Pendant (which is lost for ever)

WHen she passsed away I think princess Lilian used the small diamonds and add the Nine Province Diamonds to make a necklace with small and big diamonds...
