This morning I stumbled upon images of a wing tiara belonging to Ida McKinley, wife of US President William McKinley (1897-1901).

As is the case in many similar jewels, the wings are removable and can be worn as brooches.
The photo below is interesting because it shows the frames which hold the wings in place.
