Thanks OmerH and Maridje. The ring is beautiful I wonder if the single stone makes up the 40 carats or is it a combination of all the stones which I see in a design around the main stone. She will have to be so cautious with this ring, she cant be doing any kind of house work, I can imagine she will have to remove this piece on a regular if she does not want to scratch or bounce it. She'll have a job keeping this safe, no wonder some women who can afford very elaborate rings tend to go for very simple rings for all the reasons I mentioned above. The Queen of UK and Princess Victoria of Sweden have very small engagement rings for example and would wear the bigger guns for state occasions.
