It is difficult to believe she would go out and buy such a substantial piece at this stage, given her collection is already enormous and she only wears a relatively small number of items.
However this necklace (albeit from a distance) looks like the perfect match for the Vladimir tiara in its emerald setting. So much so that you might assume they were a parure created together. Its hard to think the Queen wouldn't have worn it before if it had been sitting in the vaults for decades.
Maybe an inheritance from someone, like the Godman necklace?
Seems unlikely it is a gift from a Midle Eastern royal, they usually opt to give the British royal women blingy modern jewels.
