Brazil has a reputation for producing valuable and historic diamonds, however I have never seen pictures previously of grand jewels worn by the Brazilian Imperial ladies before, although I have read that the Brazilian Imperial Family lived a very simple lifestyle in contrast to their European contemporaries, which may explain this.

However I have found a picture of Isabel, the Princess Imperial presumably some time in the middle of her life. No tiaras but a sizeable diamond rivere and a significant brooch.
