The Royal collections at Rosenborg and Amalienborg palaces posted this picture (I hope the link works) on their Facebook account to announce that they'd acquired this aquamarine pendant at an auction not that long ago.
The pendant used to belong to Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna of Russia and Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The Grand Duchess was the mother of Queen Alexandrine of Denmark. It's facet-cut and in the form of a drop and also includes rose-cut and
old-cut diamonds in a stylized leaf and flower pattern. It's set in gold and silver and beleived to have been made around the year 1900. Its main use was probably as a pendant for a brooch but could also be worn attached to a pearl necklace. Please correct me if the terms used are wrong. I'm not very good at translating jewellery themed terms from Scandinavian to English.
