I recall reading that Prince Carl Philip had to renounce his rights to the Galliera foundation, as the original provisions stipulated that he was the heir (as the eldest son) not his older sister, the heir apparent to the throne.

Thank you to you both for the information regarding the Bernadotte foundations.
It is interesting that the current Swedish Royal Family appear to be buying back jewels, previously lost.
I believe the current King bought back the Ruby tiara from his uncle in the 1980s and the Aquamarine tiara from his oldest sister in the 1990s and if rumours are to believed, Prince Daniel has bought a parure of pink topaz jewels associated with Countess Estelle Bernadotte (originally belonging to Queen Sophie, wife of Oscar II), although it has yet to be worn. I hope all of these tiaras will be added to the Foundation, together with the lovely tiara that the Crown Princess inherited from Princess Lilian and originally owned by Margaret of Connaught.
I think in the coming years we will get some interesting jewellery developments in Scandinavia, as I believe certain significant items of jewellery owned by the King of Norway's sisters and associated with Queen Maud (her large Diamond tiara (which to me resembles the Faberge Mecklenburg-Schwerin tiara sold this year) and her Turquoise parure) and Princess Martha (her Vasa tiara) will also be returning to the mainline of the Norwegian Royal Family as an agreement reached by King Olav with his daughters provided for this after their deaths.
I have always found the Norwegian collection quietly impressive and it is quite exciting to think that they will be adding 3 tiaras to the collection. The current Crown Princess and future Crown Princess will certainly have quite a significant collection available to them.I would hope that a similar type of Foundation is established in Norway to avoid the collection being broken up again.
