As far as Queen Ingrid was concerned, I think it was more understandable that she divided her pieces, after all her younger daughters married into royal houses, albeit non-reigning, they still have use of these jewels and have worn them regularly and well.
My greater concern is the next generation will have less use of them and will sell them, although I think the Greek main line has Marie Chantal's money and also have a sense of grandeur which means they would never sell them.
I do hope, naive as it may seem that Queen Anne Marie will donate the Cartier tiara associated with her grandmother and worn by all Queen Ingrid's female descendants to the Danish foundation to ensure that it will be kept for posterity. My fear is that it will be left to one of her younger children and then eventually sold, which would be a huge pity.
