With the renovation of the Galerie d'Apollon in the Louvre Museum, the french crownjewels have all been reunited and the gold and micro-mosaic parure of Empress Marie-Louise is displayed for the first time with the other jewels of the collection in a new presentation with the sapphire parure of the Orleans family, the Angouleme emerald tiara, Empress Marie-Louise personal emerald necklace and earrings, the Angouleme rubis bracelets, the dey of Alger clock and the elephant order of king Louis XVIII.
Another case displays jewels from the state collection made for the use of Empress Eugenie : her crown, the pearl and diamond Thurn and Taxis tiara and one the 4 shoulder brooch, the big diamond knot from the diamond belt and a diamond brooch.
A third one contains the coronation crown of king Louis XV, the two beautiful diamonds le Régent and le Sancy, the pink diamond l'Hortensia, the big rubis la Côte de Bretagne from king Francis 1st, the holy spirit diamond star and the white eagle of Poland badge.
A new addition has been recently made to the collection, an element of the big rubis belt ! The collection is still growing, 133 years after having been scandalously sold in auction !!!
