Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Connaught seems to have been the most frequent wearer of the Order of Victoria and Albert on the white sash. Therefore it seems appropriate that she was painted wearing it in her formal portait by John Singer Sargent John Singer Sargent's H.R.H. the Duchess of Connaught and Strathearn
