Well she was 89 at the time.
With her surviving siblings, HRH The Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn was 87, and HRH The Princess Beatrice was 80. It was a different era.
However, you can see from the Coronation Honours for that year that Louise and Beatrice received GCVOs. 1937 coronation honours - London Gazette
