Dear Beth,
I thank you so much for your kind message.
Please find below my analysis :
I. Queen Mary :
I have just made a comparaison of all the collets worn by Queen Mary at that time.
What is sure is that fact that she wore 7 collets and not 8 !
II. Queen Elizabeth : Please compare the two photos :
It is obvious that Queen Elizabeth did not wear her own coronation necklace :
(Not a good photo)
III. Princess Marina : I now do think that Princess Marina wore one of the collet owned by her sister Princess Olga (the second from the bottom - last photo and the longest one on the photo below on my last post)

It is all so interesting Franck! A real puzzle for us to try to solve.
Your last photo is a much better image, as you said.
I really don't have a clue about which theory might be correct, but I think we need to keep one thing in mind -- According to Hugh Roberts, the Duchess of Teck's collet necklace can be shortened, 10 of the collets being detachable.
Given that, can we be sure that Queen Mary did not wear it herself to the 1937 coronation? I don't know. I am simply playing devils advocate to try to sort out the possibilities.
