Re: How did Queen Victoria’s emerald parure come to be owned by Duke of Fife?
If I remember correctly this was discussed in some detail on the old board. The reference used then was the 1896 inventory of Queen Victoria's jewels made by Garrard and this tiara wasnt included in it. Does anyone have access to the 1896 inventory?? Maybe there is some mention in her journals if it was given away prior to 1896.
