History of Famous Jewels and Collections: Re: Tiara sold at Christies in 1996

A very interesting set of jewels, the tiara is outstanding and looks large and has lots of space so it can be basically added too, I wonder how it would look as a necklace. I also wonder what is the provenance behind this set?

I love tiaras and always get excited when I find a picture of one that is new to me - sadly I find a lot of the jewels books focus on a handful of pictures of the same tiaras over and over again and so the best source of new "material" is old auction house catalogues.

This is an interesting pearl and diamond tiara which was auctioned at Christies in 1996. It would have been a fine addition to any royal house's collection.
