That still makes me angry - on the one hand the audacity of the thieves, on the other hand the reasoning given by the museum management, which justified the ultimately inadequate security measures with the authenticity of the exhibition design, among other things.
Well, due to the curator's good work, nothing more has disappeared. They sewed the pieces on with nylon cord. Well done!
The Voigtland pearls, of which J-F a picture before the theft posted, were found in the extinguishing foam that the thieves had sprayed to cover their tracks. What might they look now?? I'm afraid the foam might have harmed them. They were probably in it for several days. Previous Message

Thank you for taking the time to follow up on this. And also for the very interesting links. The robbery seems like a life time ago. I think that all the coronavirus news (and anxiety) makes every thing seem so long ago!
I was in Dresden just on that day they closed all Museums for Corona, it was not possible to visit the Green Vault.
So nice to hear, it's reopened, but no news about the robbery.
