Re: Canada Celebrates Royal Jewels
Many thanks Bryce! I don't follow coins but, after having looked at the Royal Canadian Mint site, I realise that it is employing some non-traditional styles in their collectors' series. This is the first time I have seen an item of jewellery feature on coins like this. As the production run is only 4 thousand coins, no doubt they will become a collectors' item. I hadn't previously realised that the three upright elements in the original tiara could be detached and worn as brooches. Have we ever seen QEII wear one of those elements as a brooch?
