I think there's much to be said about the fact that the jewelry is acknowledged to be Queen Anne Marie's. They're capitalizing on the provenance to perhaps increase the value. Many times, when an heirloom is being sold to quietly shore up finances, it is often under the guise of 'property of a noble family'.
The necklace is beautiful, but not to everyone's taste. That could be a factor as well.
