How interesting, thank you for this information. If it is true that she left not just money, but also jewels to Maud and Olav, one can also speculate that some of queen Alexandra’s jewels that were later auctioned actually came via Victoria, not Louise.
I recall reading in the book about Edward VII children (by John van der Kiste) that George V after Victoria’s death sent queen Maud Victoria’s tortoise dressing set in case. Writing back to her brother Maud thanked him, and asked if she could have a small brooch or something else to remind her of her sister. I guess the will was not known at that point.
I think it’s also mentioned in that book that queen Mary “was busy rearranging queen Alexandra’s Faberge collection at Sandringham, sent back from Coppins after princess Victoria’s death.
The Rundell tiara “was disposed of” by the princess, so I guess that means that it was not part of any inheritance. Although one can hope that it has just been gathering dust in a Norwegian vault for almost a century!
