I was remembering your thread about the jewels of the Duchesses of Montrose, and Lady Mary Hamilton, Duchess of Montrose doesn't seem to have inherited or worn particularly spectacular jewels, especially ones that may come from the Hamilton family.

One would have thought that Princess Marie Amelie of Baden, the daughter of Stéphanie de Beauharnais (the cousin of Empress Josephine), would have brought some substantial jewels when she married the 11th Duke, but it seems both the 11th and 12th Dukes lived lavishly and had to sell quite a lot of paintings and assets during their lifetimes and after their deaths, so probably jewels would have been sold at that time.
I wonder if there are any accounts of Princess Marie Amelie wearing notable jewels, particularly at the Court of her cousin Emperor Napoleon III of France?
