While it is possible that the suite of ruby and diamond jewels given by the Ladies of South Australia to Queen Alexandra for her silver wedding may still exist and be in the vaults, I have often wondered if perhaps Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother might have mined this set to obtain the gemstones for her Cartier ruby floral clips and her ruby bracelet. Of course, at present, there is no way to substantiate that.
