The paper reported that a diamond brooch was presented at a luncheon by Premier Bennett on behalf of the people of British Columbia.
It consists of 239 diamonds; the stamen are made up of brown diamonds, the leaves "in emerald on platinum". It was made by British Columbian craftsmen.
