I hope we are all keeping well.

I've just finished a short article about the mysterious Clerc Ruby necklace that was meant as a wedding present for Grace Kelly:

And just when we thought the mystery was over...

I started thinking about what happened next. We know Clerc wouldn't give the deposit back and the palace kept the jewellery, but what did they do with it?

The Grimaldi don't strike me as the type to keep jewels locked away for decades like the British (I could be wrong) but would they re-purpose the stones? I was thinking about the earrings and ring Rainier gave Grace to match her Bains de Mer tiara, maybe he used the Clerc stones?
