I am perplexed by the information about the Londonderry rubies.
If I have understood what Charles said correctly, is it possible that there were 2 ruby suites?
One comprised of the jewel (necklace) Lady Helen wore as a tiara with matching earrings. (see photo below)
And a second suite comprised of the necklace seen in the photo of Lady Helen below.
Does the large brooch/stomacher and the earrings recently auctioned form part of the second suite?
Then which jewels were given to Edith, Marchioness of Londonderry as a wedding gift from her father-in-law?
