Thanks Sam! Very interesting indeed. The price of the photo frame is eye watering! I wonder if the allusion to Empress Alexandra is not just for the optic. When I looked to see who the seller was I noticed two things. A. that the seller has a full five star rating and B that no seller's name was given. I wondered if the frame matched one that was sold in Princess Margaret's collection but, unfortunately, I haven't had time to look. It probably isn't, as a direct connection to Princess Margaret would be easy to verify through the sale certificates.
