Re: Christies Geneva 9th of November 5 pm
Thank you for correction. I am mixins the November Auctions ...
Hi Maria Olivia,
it is not the Christie´s auction on 9th of November but Sotheby´s "Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels: Part I" on 10th of November. While
Christie´s offers Marie Antoinette´s Bracelets and the Ears of Wheats Tiara of the Bonaparte sister, Sotheby´s has the Sapphire Tiara of Koch for sale.
Other jewels of the Battenberg family I couldn´t find.
The Catalogue is endly published with the Auction of the Bracelets of Queen Marie Antoinette and the Duchess of Windsor.
Item 01 Pauline Bonaparte's tiara
Will all these jewels we spoke about be sold on that Auction ?
Taadaaa! Yes, thank you so much, Janet, for your reply. And the information on Pablo Milstein´s instagram. I thought it must be german family, as Koch´s work seems to have found buyers mainly in Germany.
And Milstein´s post of Johanna Loisinger, solved the riddle of an discussion at RJWMB in April about the Battenberg Jewels. The pictures of Johanna Loisinger, Countess of Hartenau, raised the question about her tiara(s) and if it might be one piece with additions. https://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/msg/1619094453.html
Question solved. It is one tiara, its made by Koch, and you can buy it in November.
