I wonder how and why this amazing set of emeralds left the Dresden Vault? Does anyone know?

I was a trifle surprised to see a set of Rosary beads made of emeralds. I cannot think of a less suitable gemstone for such a purpose, as I would consider emeralds too soft a gemstone for beads to be clanking against each other.

I wonder if this Rosary was intended only to be used, with care, on very grand ceremonial occasions? Does anyone know?
