History of Famous Jewels and Collections: Re: Empress Maria Feodorovna’s Sapphire Brooch

The brooch looks entirely different to the one seen on the Princess Royal, I can't explain, the diamonds just like whiter and more pronounced, to think about it as well the pearl drop also looks freash, if I didn't know different I'd think this was a close twin of the brooch seen on the Princess Royal. The picture is resplendent though.

The Princess Royal wore it a few weeks ago and the Queen wore it yesterday for an audience with the Sultan of Oman. Its quite interesting that the Queen is sharing what I would call her actively worn jewels with daughter, of course the Duchess of Cambridge and Countess of Wessex borrow items from the Queen's collection but I got the sense those were items the Queen herself no longer wears.
