DOCTOR BIRD BROOCH

2002 C. Garth Sanguinetti and Fred Lusan III of Sanger Studios

This brooch was presented to The Queen during Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee visit to Jamaica in 2002.

The brooch is in the form of the national Doctor Bird, a species of hummingbird found only in Jamaica which is noted for its distinctive tail streamers. It is made of black Jamaican granite, green Jamaican marble, platinum, white gold, silver, diamonds, rubies and sapphires.
