Is the history of this tiara known? I mean before it was bought for the new Duchess of York in the 80s.

After neither Beatrice or Eugenie wore the York tiara for their weddings I wondered if it had been quietly sold, but it reappeared last night at the evening reception of the Jordanian Wedding on Beatrice. (You have to scroll down a long way in the article.)
