On Instagram Trond Norén Isaksen has revealed the provenance of the opal brooch Crown Princess Victoria recently wore. He says "The brooch can be found in a list of jewels Queen Victoria [of Sweden] inherited from her mother, Dowager Grand Duchess Luise of Baden, who died in 1923."
I think the remaining mystery is why this significant brooch hasn't been worn in public before by the current Swedish royals.
