History of Famous Jewels and Collections: Re: Princess Royal mystery brooch

I tried to get a close up myself but alas I still couldn't identify what it really was. It gleams beautifully and is borderd by a yellow looking material looking like gold. The stone or whatever it is looks bright green, could it be jade or enamel or even an emerald?

It seems to have marks/ indents of some kind, so it could be a badge of sorts but made out of of beautiful materials. Some more comments and views would be nice.

I think it might be a commemorative badge associated with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as HRH seems to be wearing is at events relating to the CWGC, of which she is President
