You are correct PaulP.

Leslie Field claimed that Queen Alexandra gave it to Queen Mary.

I always disputed that & argued for another source for years. My theory was based on the differences in the 2 jewels & the fact that Queen Alexandra was photographed wearing her baroque pearl in 1913 at the wedding of her granddaughter, the Duchess of Fife.

Then, after prolonged searching, I found a sketch of some of Queen Mary's wedding gifts & posted about them in August 2019.

Here is the sketch I posted. The difference is that I have marked this image.
