Would it have made any sense to have the Greville emerald and diamond tiara on offer to a blood princess but denied to an inlaw? And why would the Queen offer the same tiara as an option if it could have been chosen by both awaiting brides?
Grand Duchess Xenia' her family and her sister in law Tzarina Marie Alexandra were rescued by their British Royal counterparts, it has been proven that both of these former royals sold lots of their jewels while in exile most definitely to Queen Mary.
So although ive seen the photos of an emerald and diamond tiara' does that mean it was the tiara in question? The Grand daughter of Xenia' who resides in the UK her name is Olga' she may know a thing or two more than we do when it comes to jewels which parted ways with her grandmother. Just saying.
Regards,
Dave.

Some informations that might solve the discussion:
Dmitry, Member of the Royal Jewels of the World Message board, solved the problem by identified the emerald tiara von Grandduchess Xenia amongst the jewellery dismantled by the Russians after the Revolution.
https://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/msg/1756930575.html
For he is not a Member of this board he asked to a little help to solve the problem.
For I am not able to post pictures, here some links:
The foto, the same one posted by Dmitry.
https://www.collectissim.com/en/the-lost-jewels-of-the-romanov/
The emerald tiara in the hands of a jewellery on the right side. Quite good to identified.
Here another one:

Sorry, these fotos are not nearly as easy to find as someone might think of. The quality is a bit blurry, but enough, when the picture is somewhat enlarged.
It is the same one as in Papi, Stefano: The jewels of the Romanows. Family and Court. Revived and expanded. London 2010, p. 298/299
The emerald tiara is seen in the middle of the desk, above the sunray tiara of Irina Youssopow, Xenias daughter.
So, the tiara could not be presented to choose to Meghan. It was destroyed.

Hi to all subscribers. Yesterday I watched the Lady C show as I normally do and she touched on some issues where the late Queen relented and on scenarios where she put her foot down.
Now on the one thing that Lady C says the late Queen put her foot down on' was rulling absolutely out the debut of the much talked about rumored emerald and diamond tiara that the Duchess of Sussexs was have supposed to request to wear on her wedding day.
Lady C postulates that the emerald and diamond tiara in question did have Russian provenance and it originally was gifted to the Grand Duchess Xeinia by her father the Tsar. Lady C says anyone who is in the know' knows about this and there is a descendant who lives in the UK who has confirmed this.
I have had a look at the emerald and diamond tiara in question online and it is really beautiful but if it was acquired by the late Queen Mary one wonders why she never wore it. Could it be because Queen Mary developed the Deli Dubar tiara with emerald tops and had no need to debut the Russian tiara.
Im only quoting from what Lady C has said but Lady C is an aristocrat and they are many things she has wrote about that were confirmed as the truth before other notable writers. You can give her video done on Tuesday 12th August a look to confirm what I have said here.
Kind Regards,
Dave.
