Yesterday, when I read an Instagram post by @antiquejewelleryhistorian on the Wartski Tiara Exhibition in 1997, I spotted the diamond pendant earrings which QEII wore for the State Opening of Parliament in 2012, which were later worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, now the Princess of Wales.

Of course what we are most unlikely to know for many,many years (if at all) is precisely who acquired them, how much they paid etc. Wartski will never release such information.

I have openly acknowledged that I was unlikely to have seen the image myself, & so again I thank @antiquejewelleryhistorian for her very interesting post.
