A most impressive jewel Beth! I hope we will find out whom it belonged to.

Vincent Meylan's Instagram account features a new range of jewels from Cartier which references their famed Tutti Frutti jewels. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bk5Nvl9hNnK/?taken-by=vincentmeylan

That made me wonder if we could do a thread on famous earlier Cartier Tutti Frutti jewels - perhaps those belonging to Edwinda Mountbatten, Daisy Fellows, Mrs Vanderbilt, Linda Porter (Mrs Cole Porter) and others.

To avoid confusion when introducing a new name could people indicate that on the subject heading, please.

This spectacular necklace was exhibited at the Canberra Cartier exhibition, and part of one of the photos I took was used for the current banner. Unfortunately, I cannot yet discover its provenance, only that it was made in Paris in 1938.

A closer view of some of the details of the necklace.

This jewel set slide allows the length of the necklace to be adjusted.
