Previous Message Hi guys, please see the video below by Maria Doulton the Jewellery Editor who speaks on the famous and spectacular jewels by the Indian Maharajas now in the collection of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the current Amir of Qatar. My focus however is on HM QE2 loan to the exhibition from (01.00) minute which features the renowned Timor Ruby. It is housed in a glass set with another ruby and diamond necklace and what looks like maybe a ruby broach or pendant of some kind. My question or curiosity was if the entire set came from the collection of HM as they are all housed together in the same glass setting. And I did read or saw on a video somewhere where HM was I believe being painted and she did mention needing to actually have created a dress to go in with the Timor Ruby if she were to ever wear it.
