This necklace was an anonomys gift to Queen Sonja on her 75th birthday.
The doners only demand was that the necklace had to be designed and made by Norwegian craftsmen and materials.
The necklace was designed and created by jeweller Bugge & Authen in Oslo, the gold is from Hamar and the peridot stones are from Aaheim in Norway.

Apart from the famous Habsburg parure i cant think of any major peridot necklaces or pieces belonging to any family royal, aristocratic, celebrity or just wealthy.
I can’t believe this beautiful stone seems to hardly exist in any large pieces only brooches and rings.
Does anyone know of any?
