The National Gallery of Australia is on record as saying that it has carried the costs of this exhibition - not Cartier. Eventually the overall costs, though perhaps not the individual items, will appear in an annual report which used to be presented to Parliament (I think it still is each year)

I should think that by now the major lenders and the NGA as the borrower have arrangement for security, transport and insurance precisely organised.

Despite the glitter, I don't think that this would have been the most expensive exhibition ever mounted by the NGA or the most challenging to transport and display.
