Nancy Astor’s jewels

Nancy Astor and the Sancy diamonds is a well-known story. However she had other stunning jewels, one of which is being auctioned on March 13 at Dreweatts. dreweatts.com

It is an absolutely stunning aquamarine and diamond pendant brooch. Check out their Instagram account @dreweatts1759

Many thanks LauraM! The aquamarines seem to have an amazing depth of colour for such large stones. I wonder who inherited the brooch after Lady Astor's death?

It would be interesting to see if we could track down photos of her wearing all those tiaras.

The only image I have of her wearing one of her smaller tiaras is from 1931.

Most photos seem to show her wearing the one with the Sancy diamond. Lady Astor wore it for all major occasions. Below is a photo from the 1937 Coronation.
